The Domestic Violence Shelter, Inc., was founded on June 8, 1978 as the Richland County
Task Force on Domestic Violence, Inc. The Shelter was founded by a group of concerned
citizens who decided to provide much needed assistance to survivors of domestic violence.
Our present location is over 13,000 square feet with 16 client rooms that can house 48
individuals comfortably.
